Most kids love swimming pools because of the fun activities they can do. In order to prevent any drowning accident, pool noodles are used as a floating guide for children. These colourful foam pool toys are lightweight, smooth, and are safe to play with. They are not just useful around pools but they are also very versatile to use for countless DIY projects in your home. They can also be used in industrial applications as insulation for pipes and cables and have excellent impact absorption capacity. When swimming season is over and with some effort, here are the five protective uses for your pool noodles.
Prevent doors from slamming
Just slice a good length of the noodle and slide it over the edge of your door. This simple hack will protect your fingers to be slammed as well as it will not peel off paint or leave any gooey residue on the latch.
Use for crease-free garments
Pool noodles can also be used to keep your pants, scarves, or shawls crease-free the easiest way by covering the clothes hanger with a pool noodle. Cut it to the same length of the lower hanger rod and then slit the entire length of the noodle so that it would be easy to slip it onto the hanger.
Cheap ladder guards
When it’s the time to clean out gutters and other far-reaching areas, you don’t want your metal ladder to scratch them. Pool noodles are a good ladder protector. They provide great cushions for your legs, too.
Protect your liftgate
Opening your car’s liftgate can hit a cross brace of the garage door and pare off the paint on the gate. You can easily protect it using foam pool noodles as a cushion. Just slit the noodle with a knife and then slip it onto the brace. You can also put on double-sided tape to secure the protection from slipping off.
