First of all, congratulations for braving yourself and bringing your children to the indoor playground. It means you are not afraid of exposing your little ones to a public place and let them socialize. If there is one aspect you and other parents should know when out and about in this place is the fact that there are some don’ts to avoid so that you don’t end up wasting your time and money if something bad happens.
1. Don’t bring your kid’s favourite toy but leave it at home or in the car
One of the key reasons why to bring your kids to an indoor playground is to have fun and explore new experiences. So, while your child loves to bring his or her favourite toy, insist on leaving it behind. Doing so takes away your worry about how your child would behave when another kid tries to play or borrow it.
2. Don’t feel ashamed to always stand up for your kid
While it’s true enough to teach your kid good manners and right conduct, it would be useless if you yourself don’t show it. This means if you know that your child is being bullied by another kid, be bold to protect your little one by saying the right words to someone else’s child. Don’t be afraid even if the parents are around and watching. You have every right to protect your child whether you are in an indoor playground or anywhere else. It will be an example for everybody, showing that you stand up for your kid.
3. Don’t be too dramatic and keep it cool
If you have witnessed your child get attacked or abused by another kid, keep your cool and don’t make a scene. Keep your composure and say the right words to that child. like “don’t push my little one, he will get hurt” or something that would make that kid realize his or her wrongdoing. Never ever bring it to the parents as well. After mediating, you can then go back to your resting area and let your kid play again.
