The Top Choice For Quick And Reliable Adhesion

If you are in the market looking for a reliable bond that can be used in a wide variety of substrates, then you are specifically after instant adhesives, otherwise known as cyanoacrylates. They are a type of thermoplastic adhesive that works for different viscosities and provides quick curing time. They can be made to offer high-performing adhesion and structural bonding for various types of materials like metals, ceramics, leather, and plastics. Better yet, they are very easy to apply either in huge automated assembly lines or a small repair shop. For special-grade cyanoacrylates, they can be best used in joint gaps with fewer than 0.1mm or 0.2mm.

Applying instant adhesives, though easy, also needs some considerations, particularly temperature range that can be as low as -50°C to +80°C. This is for normal applications but there are also special formulations that can handle extreme temperatures of as high as 200°C. In the case of other unique or challenging applications like working with acidic and porous substrates, the gel grade adhesive is a perfect solution. It can also be used for applications where non-absorption is required.

Instant adhesives are also categorized according to their chemical qualities. When applying on rubber and plastic material, it is the ethyl-based adhesives that are great to use. They are also applicable for absorbent and metallic surface applications and can be cured quicker when compressed between the substrates. They are also widely used on rubbers and plastics apart from metals.

Obviously, instant adhesives are an excellent choice for quick fixes and short-time curing applications. However, they are not suitable to bond huge surfaces due to their low elasticity. Nonetheless, they offer high bonding strength and are easy to apply, making them the top choice for most applications. Thus, they are a must-have either in your home or in your workshop.
