How to Make Your Home Energy Efficient?

Energy efficiency is one of the biggest trends that cut all throughout industries. Both companies and residential buildings are very eager on cutting their energy bills. Who wouldn’t be if it means lower spending? So, if you want to enjoy the same trend, one perfect way to achieve it is by adding good insulation to the exterior walls of your home. Moreover, if you further want to further save on the cost of the project, you can do the job yourself with the help of an insulation blowing machine. Perhaps you are thinking that this machine is difficult to work with, think again.

Setting up and using the machine will not be that hard by following the three basic steps below.

#1: Setting Up the Blowing Machine

Always keep in mind that operating an insulation blowing machine can produce plenty of dust that you won’t want to get in and accumulate inside your home. This is why the blowing machine is always set up outside your house and just pass the hose through an opening either in the door or window.

#2: Loading the Blowing Machine

Typically, the insulation blowing machine is so easy to load with the loose insulation material. All you need to do is simply open the cover of the machine and throw the insulation into the chamber. Ask one of your helpers to do the loading while the blowing is being prepared.

#3: Blowing the Insulation Material

At this stage, it’s time to get that insulation blowing machine do its job but first, make sure that there’s a hole with just enough diameter to accommodate the hose. Then, insert the hose and wrap a rag around it on the outside to restrict the insulation from blowing out the hole. The blowing can then be started in between the studs in the wall and the blowing just continues until resistance can be felt from the hose. It means that the area in the wall being blown with is now fully insulated.
