Pump Bearings

Liquid ring pumps have sealed bearings to keep the air inside and handle the pressure. Depending on your application, you might need grease that is water and heat-resistant. Pumps equipped with grease zerks need regular lubrication every 3,000 hours for optimal pump-bearing maintenance.


Motor Bearings

Sealed motor bearings require infrequent greasing. Most engineers lubricate their grease zerks every 3,000 hours or once per year. Like pump bearings, they use grease that's water and heat-resistant.


Coupling Insert

Coupling inserts must always have a tight seal. Regular checks per year ensure you can monitor it for excess wear and the presence of black dust. That said, the presence of dust indicates your insert may have started wearing out and needs immediate replacement.


Pump Seals

The pump seals work with other bearings and inserts to provide an airtight seal using liquid. Check the pump bearing housing every three to four months to remove any liquid in the area. If you see moisture, your seal has started to wear and needs replacements.


Inlet Check Valve

Inlet check valves will start to corrode over time due to age or moisture infiltration. So regularly inspect for these signs and if you find any sign of corrosion, replace the valves immediately.
