How to Ensure Excellent Adhesion and Protect Assemblies

If you want to have a secured fastening of your nuts and bolts every time, then what you need is a threadlocker. It is a special liquid resin that provides a very powerful adhesive solution by offering a superior layer of protection compared to traditional fasteners. Better yet, it cures very quickly and is so simple to use. Once you have applied it to the threads, it instantly hardens, creating a hard plastic seal that guarantees the highest friction between the locked items. Usually, threadlocker is manufactured in three distinct strengths - low, medium, and high and also comes in different forms such as tape, stick and gel.

In addition to providing tight and superior adhesion, the use of threadlocker also brings plenty of other advantages. First, it gives greater torque retention which is critical if you are working on an assembly that will receive torque pressure. Threadlockers will not just provide holding strength to the threads but will also transfer the amount of force to all the pieces to have greater durability against heat, vibration and time. Second, they effectively seal out moisture and other environmental elements that can threaten the integrity of your assemblies. Not only will the threadlocker prevent moisture penetrating the joints but it can also avoid rust and corrosion as well as keep out dirt and other contaminants for a longer-lasting seal.

Lastly, threadlockers are applicable to different sizes of assemblies, regardless of how size-sensitive your bolts and nuts are. So, rather than hauling along your lock nuts and washers, you can simply bring a tube of a threadlocker for direct application. However, you have to keep in mind that when selecting this product, you have to know how much torque your assembly needs and the nature of the parts to be assembled. Also, don’t forget about the size of the fastener to be locked because bigger fasteners will most likely require a threadlocker with stronger strength.
